Bates Techincal College Show Weakenders

Bates Technical College Show Weakenders

Bates Technical College memories

I went to Bates Technical College once. No joke. Yeah, I used to live out there. It was a pretty good school, but I was not ready for it as I didn't really know what area of study I wanted to pursue (I was a barely sixteen high school graduate at the time, so I didn't really know much of anything about myself at that point). But in hindsight, without the colored view of my poor little overwhelmed self, it was a very good school. I'm sure that now I would be more able to appreciate the benefits and advantages of Bates Technical College.

Bates Technical College Variety

Bates Technical College has an awesome range and selection of programs that they cover. I still remember the tour of Bates Technical College that I took nearly six years ago. I remember so many cool programs, but they all had one thing in common; they were totally hands on. I've attended another tech school since and let me tell you, Bates Technical College is way more hands on than your typical tech school. And every single one of the programs that I saw was like this. The early education class actually offered greatly reduced daycare to Bates Technical College students thereby meeting two needs at once; both the need for childcare for students and the need for hands on educations for those majoring in childcare. The culinary program at Bates Technical College handled all of the cafeteria food and they didn't just handle it; they treated it like an actual job, making students arrive at five in the morning to start work, and making new students clean dishes for two weeks to prove their commitment to the kitchen (which I think would save a lot of workplaces a lot of trouble if they did that). The Bates Technical College media majors (I can't remember what they were actually called) had their own broadcasting station and actually broadcast programs. You get the idea, right?

Bates Technical College and me

I was in the legal office assistant class, and we treated class days like work days as well. Each of us had a cubicle style desk with a computer and we were expected to monitor and schedule our own days based on what we knew we had to get done. In this way our graduation was kind of dependent on us to get everything done as we could, which could be a pro or con depending on the kind of personality and character you have. I liked that format a lot, personally, because it was very similar to the way I had (very successfully) gone through home school high school.
